Restaurants and Bars

In addition to Tierra del Sol’s excellent dining options, please find our suggested spots for a night out on the town here! All the below recommendations come from thirty years of trying and testing the island’s vast array of options.
Gostoso Restaurante: Located in Oranjestad (about a 20 minute drive) is this little known restaurant favored by the locals. They serve a blend of both Portuguese and Aruban Cuisine, which is designed to delight even the most discriminating palate. With their cozy and intimate atmosphere and impeccable service at a reasonable price, Gostoso will be your next favorite neighborhood restaurant.
Chalet Suisse: Located across from Eagle Beach, serves a wonderful selection of meat dishes and locally sourced fish, prepared and served to perfection. We’ve been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and it’s never failed to provide an amazing meal.
Wacky Wahoo: amazing seafood! This is a more casual experience than the above suggestions, but the fish is freshly caught and we believe it’s the best prepared on the island.
Salt and Pepper: located under 10 minutes from Anabui. Simply the best breakfast on the island. You will not be disappointed!
Other great restaurants to consider:
Driftwood Restaurant – Fresh caught fish daily
Flying Fishbone – Eat barefoot in the water, an experience you won’t want to miss!
Madame Janette – Amazing food, beautiful setting once you get inside.
Pelican Pier on Palm Beach – Great lunch, the best fish sandwich on the island
Quinta Del Carmen – Beautiful setting and a great restaurant worth trying
Smokey Joe’s Café – Great barbeque
Wilhelmina: beautiful setting with amazing food. Impeccable presentation.
